Woodstock Rishpon [2026]

Woodstock Rishpon is a sculptural installation built around an old oak dresser imported from England and sold through an antiques shop in the affluent Israeli moshav of Rishpon, which brands itself through an imagined American aesthetic.

The dresser is sealed, except for a single drawer lined in deep blue fabric from which cold vapor slowly escapes. Resting on top is a handmade felt patchwork hat alongside a red clown nose - objects emerging from my ongoing collaboration with two Russian pantomime artists who recently immigrated to Israel. Together, these elements intertwine aspirational fantasy embedded in imported domestic relics.
