RTH is an acronym of the command used by the DJI drone company: “Return to Home.” This command is a technical and metaphorical symbol of safety and security.
In this video installation the viewer controls when the drone will start its engines and when it will turn them off. When the viewer gets close to the screen it seems like the drone is about to fly.
The word Home becomes a code,a technical action, but at the same time an exact allegory of the actual modern housing. Home or the metaphysical home is the space that we are supposed to remember how to go back to, or when. And I still ask where is Home.
